TransLink® is now available on BART

The TransLink fare payment system is now available to all BART customers. Whether you use a High Value Discount (HVD) ticket or pay as you go, TransLink can be used to pay your fare on BART.

To use TransLink on BART, you will need either e-cash or a BART High Value Discount on your card. Please see the "Fares and Passes" page for information about specific types of value available. You will tag your card each time you enter and exit the fare gates. To tag your card, touch it to the round sensor disk on the top of the fare gate (located on the side of the gate for the accessible fare gate) and hold until the gates open and "OK" displays. At this time, your remaining balance will also be displayed.

TransLink customers who receive pre-tax transit benefits (like Commuter Check® or WageWorks® can use their benefits to load value onto their card. Click here to learn more.

Please note that TransLink is not accepted for parking payment, so customers who use EZ Rider to pay for parking at one of BART's lots will need to keep using their EZ Rider card to pay for parking.
